ECPokerTour's first stop in 2010 was sunny Barcelona. Players came to Casino Barcelona and walked down the ECPokerTour carpet to the poker room just to have a glimpse of tomorrow's battle scene. It is an honor to set foot on the ECPokerTour carpet as a proud participant especially if you get to walk out of the casino with the ECPokerTour Winner's Trophy and a check.
While some players were working hard for one of the 15 seats to the Main Event in a Super Satellite, the winners of the amazing ECPokerTour package were getting ready for Titan Poker's VIP Party in Club Shoko.

Champagne and Vodka Magnums were waiting at the VIP tables that were surrounded by beautiful Spanish dancers. An open bar was available to the players and their guests until 3 a.m. The crowd was really mixed after 12 a.m. with all the regular clientele of girls who just came to party.

After the fabulous party players had some time to rest before the 4 p.m. Main Event by taking advantage of the amazing facilities in the ECPokerTour's 5 star hotels. A total of 291 players started the tournament and competed for a staggering total prize pool of €727,500, with €170,000 going to the champion.

A lot of well-known faces were there - Fabrice Soulier, EPT Warsaw winner Christophe al Benzimra, Swedish poker jewel Cecilia Nordenstam, Bo Sehlstedt, winner of ECPokerTour Malta and Canadian Titan pro Sorel 'Imper1um' Mizzi.

111 players made it to Day 2 of the Main Event of the ECPT here in Barcelona. Only 27 will finish in the money.

The level of play was incredibly high the whole day. The players were 3-betting, 4-betting and 5-betting like there was no tomorrow. It was bubble time around 3:30 AM and the tournament director decided to call it a day leaving exactly 27 players to battle it out for the title on Sunday.

Meanwhile, French player Florian Desgouttes won the Moneybookers Side Event taking home €5,180 and an ECPokerTour trophy after eliminating 129 other players.

The chip count of the remaining 25 players:
In the early evening it was down to 9 players at the Final Table.
Fabrice Bachellez won the ECPT Barcelona 2010 and took home a whopping €170,000. Then Fabrice took out John Eames (UK) in 4th with AT vs. A6s. Andrew Grimason (IRE) was felted minutes later with KJ against Fabrice's A3.
