ECPokerTour Barcelona Tournament Awards Record Prizes

French poker player Fabrice Bachellez had a pair of sevens going into the final hand of Heads Up play at the ECPokerTour Barcelona tournament, but his opponent, Rebecca Gérin, couldn't make anything out of her Ace and Ten pocket cards. Bachellez won the hand and the €170,000 first prize, the highest ever awarded on the ECPokerTour circuit.
291 players from all over the world competed at the Gran Casino de Barcelona in the first event of the ECPokerTour in 2010. The tournament was advertised as a €500,000 Guaranteed event but player participation in the €2500 + €250 Main Event resulted in a final prize pool of €727,500.
For finishing in second place, Gérin took home €110,000. Also sitting at the tournament’s Final Table and winning huge cash prizes were players Andrew Grimason (3rd place and €65,500); John Eames (4th place and €50,000); Christophe Benzimra (5th place and €30,000); Nils Petterson (6th place and €29,000); Peter Nordin (7th place and €24,000); Marvin Rettenmaier (8th place and €18,300); and Hannu Korva (9th place and €15,000).
Benzimra had the distinction of winning the Titan Top Finalist award, with a $25,000 ECPokerTour package including entries, travel and accommodation at upcoming ECPokerTour events. "This tournament was very well organized and the structure was good," Benzimra said. "I'm very happy that I represented Titan Poker in Barcelona."

The next event of the most exclusive poker tournament series in Europe will be staged in Gran Casino de Barcelona from March 18th, 2010.

Swedish Player Captures EuroCityPokerTour Trophy at Malta Tournament

Bo Sehlstedt goes home with the €51,382 first prize after knocking out the competition at the most exclusive poker tournament in Europe.
Swedish poker player Bo Sehlstedt outlasted 129 other poker enthusiasts from around the world when he took first place and a prize of €51,382 at the recently concluded ECPokerTour Malta poker tournament.
In an exciting three-way final hand, Sehlstedt eliminated both John Van De Bruggen and Michael Schuchardt when he hit an Ace on the River, giving him a Full House and the ECPokerTour trophy.
The three-day ECPokertour tournament, staged at the Casino di Venezia in Vittoriosa, Malta between November 13 and November 15, attracted some of the top poker names from Europe. The Final table awarded cash prizes to Van De Bruggen (2nd Place - €31,200); Schuchardt (3rd Place - €21,450); Manuel Thiede, Bernd-Philipp Hoff, Mitja Potocin; Sorel Mizzi; and Sean Perry.
Players qualified for the three-day tournament at TitanPoker.com, the official sponsor of the ECPokerTour, and at other poker rooms on the iPoker Network. Direct buy-ins at Casino di Venezia attracted additional participants, and the casino also staged a Side Event tournament in parallel to the €1500 + €150 buy-in Main Event.
The Malta tournament was the third ECPokerTour event, following the success of tournaments in Madrid in 2008 and in Salzburg earlier this year.

Titan Poker Launches Monthly Million Series with $1,000,000 Guaranteed Tournament

Online poker players have a chance to win their share of one million dollars every month in the new tournament series being staged by Titan Poker, the leading poker room in Europe.
The inaugural $1,000,000 Guaranteed Prize Tournament will be staged on September 13, 2009 at 18:00 GMT, with a buy-in of $500 + $35. Players can also win their seat in qualifier satellites, with buy-ins as low as $1 + $0.10.

After a hard-fought, 13-hour-long battle, Titan Poker player Ragen wins First Prize of $525,000 at the huge online poker tournament.
Online poker room Titan Poker player ‘Ragen’ has ascended to poker glory after winning 1st place in the $2,500,000 Guaranteed tournament staged on March 8th, 2009. After playing for a total of 13 hours and 28 minutes, he won the top prize of $525,000.
Ragen, a Titan Poker player who signed up at the poker room in May 2007 through PokerStrategy.com, the online professional poker school, outlasted second place finisher gwka, who won a huge cash prize of $275,000
In the final hand of Heads-up play, Ragen had Ace of Spades and Ten of Hearts versus gwka’s pair of Jacks. gwka went All-in before the Flop. The Flop brought a pair of Kings and a four. But the tournament win was assured for Ragen when the Turn brought him an Ace of Clubs.
The $2,500,000 Guaranteed Prize tournament started on March 8th, but lasted into the early morning hours of March 9th. A total of 1,370 players participated in the tournament.

Talented Titan Poker players claim European Championship of Online Poker bracelets and cash prizes as the dash for $4.15 million in cash prizes continues into its second week.
The high suspense action continues to hit new heights on the felt at TitanPoker.com as the second week of the world's most prestigious online poker tournament series, the ECOOP III, draws to a nail-biting close. The first half of the series was a resounding success, played out in a dazzling display of talent and skill. But it was players from leading online poker room Titan Poker who dominated last week's winners list and continue to lay claim to the much coveted cash prizes.
So far three talented Titan Poker players have taken home prestigious ECOOP bracelets, representing well over a third of the ECOOP events that have passed. Italian hairdresser Lorenzo Savallo, kick started the winning tide with his $24,518 success at the ECOOP #2 $100,000 GP. Spanish Titan Poker Player Goes for Round 2 at the Asian Poker Tour

Nothing can stop a good poker tournament player. Julio Diaz, a Spanish poker player at Titan Poker, the largest online poker room on the iPoker Network, is bound for further poker glory as he sets his sights on capturing first place at the upcoming Asian Poker Tour (APT) tournament in Manila, in January.
